[11/5/2013 11:34:12 PM] Kate: ... what's best here?
[11/5/2013 11:34:20 PM] Kate: ((Does she have her accent?))
[11/5/2013 11:36:22 PM] Felix: Server:  The coffee is very good.
[11/5/2013 11:36:41 PM] Felix: ((Up to her!  The server has a french accent.))
[11/5/2013 11:36:53 PM] Kate: Coffee'd be real nice. Thanks.
[11/5/2013 11:37:02 PM] Kate: Kate does!
[11/5/2013 11:37:46 PM] Felix: He goes off!
[11/5/2013 11:38:04 PM] Kate: Kate looks around curiously!
[11/5/2013 11:39:04 PM] Felix: The cafe is bustling and busy!
[11/5/2013 11:39:42 PM] Kate: Kate looks for anyone or anything she recognizes!
[11/5/2013 11:44:39 PM] Felix: Roll a d10!
[11/5/2013 11:44:55 PM] Kate: (( http://omg.yahoo.com/news/marvel-comics-ms-marvel-returns-muslim-teen-211344608.html Huh.))
[11/5/2013 11:45:06 PM] Kate: ((8!))
[11/5/2013 11:46:55 PM | Edited 11:50:23 PM] Felix: The server brings your coffee, which is done in the french style... beans roasted.  As you're sipping it, you spot Ebenezer walking past!  He's looking around, also like he's looking for someone.  You spot him approach an older fellow on a bench and sitting next to him.
[11/5/2013 11:48:18 PM] Kate: ((Coffee!))
[11/5/2013 11:48:21 PM] Kate: Kate listens in.
[11/5/2013 11:50:54 PM] Felix: You can't really hear them from where you're sitting.  You do see Ebenezer hand over some money, though.
[11/5/2013 11:51:22 PM] Kate: Kate watches them and sips her coffee.
[11/5/2013 11:56:03 PM] Felix: The old man hands Ebenezer a piece of paper.
[11/5/2013 11:57:04 PM] Kate: Kate tries to see what's on it! But subtly.
[11/5/2013 11:58:24 PM] Felix: You'd have to get closer to do that.  They're about... twenty feet away, maybe?  You're sitting in the fenced-in outdoor catfe and they're sitting on a park bench under a tree.
[11/6/2013 12:00:31 AM] Kate: Kate picks up her coffee cup and changes to a closer table, if she can.
[11/6/2013 12:01:44 AM] Felix: You can move a bit closer.  Ebenezer is looking at the piece of paper, and the old man seems to be giving him directions, judging by his arm movements.
[11/6/2013 12:03:24 AM] Kate: Kate does.
[11/6/2013 12:03:38 AM] Kate: 'scuse me, sirs. You lookin' for somethin'?
[11/6/2013 12:04:59 AM] Felix: Old Man:  Well, no miss, just giving directions to my young friend here.  First time in our fine city.  Judging from that accent, yours too?
[11/6/2013 12:05:44 AM] Kate: Sure. Where's 'e goin'?
[11/6/2013 12:05:46 AM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 12:06:49 AM] Felix: The Old Man eyes you, and Ebenezer does, too!  Roll a d10.
[11/6/2013 12:07:03 AM] Kate: ((8! that's three in a row.))
[11/6/2013 12:07:23 AM] Kate: (( http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/clark-gregg-relishes-role-connective-tissue-marvel-universe-055159984.html Still (heart) Coulson.))
[11/6/2013 12:07:47 AM] Felix: You can tell in Eben's eyes, he's in a bit of pain.  He seems very distracted.
[11/6/2013 12:08:21 AM] Kate: ... hey. You all right, sir?
[11/6/2013 12:08:51 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... I'm alright.  Just a bit distracted today.
[11/6/2013 12:09:29 AM] Kate: Got time for a cuppa coffee?
[11/6/2013 12:09:35 AM] Kate: They do it the French way here.
[11/6/2013 12:10:11 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  .... thanks, but I have to be going.
[11/6/2013 12:11:03 AM] Kate: I'll go with ya, then.
[11/6/2013 12:11:09 AM] Kate: Kate finishes her coffee and sets the mug down.
[11/6/2013 12:11:14 AM] Kate: ... you don't look well, sir, is all.
[11/6/2013 12:11:18 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ...who are you?
[11/6/2013 12:11:31 AM] Kate: Marshal Candlemas, sir.
[11/6/2013 12:11:48 AM] Felix: The Old Man leaves!
[11/6/2013 12:12:02 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  A marshal?
[11/6/2013 12:13:07 AM] Kate: Federal marshal, sir.
[11/6/2013 12:14:10 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Oh.  I'm sorry, I'm new to your fine country.  Is it normal for a federal marshal to accompany people?
[11/6/2013 12:16:29 AM] Kate: Ain't common, no. But you're lookin' ill, so I'm 'bout as good for scrapin' you off the ground as anybody.
[11/6/2013 12:17:09 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I'm... looking for someone.  I was told she might be in town.
[11/6/2013 12:18:01 AM] Kate: Kate shrugs.
[11/6/2013 12:18:14 AM] Kate: Don't mind goin' somewhere. I can wait outside the door if you want when you get there.

[11/6/2013 4:46:40 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ...do all marshals dress like you?
[11/6/2013 4:46:50 PM] Felix: YOu *are* still wearing that singer-dress.
[11/6/2013 4:47:23 PM] Kate: No sir. I gen'rally don't either.
[11/6/2013 4:47:44 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Dress like you?  Who do you dress like, then?
[11/6/2013 4:48:55 PM] Kate: Somebody not wearin' a gown like this.
[11/6/2013 4:49:03 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 4:49:32 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Oh.  What's the occasion?
[11/6/2013 4:50:09 PM] Kate: Well. Wouldn't be fancy enough in ordinary clothes fer here.
[11/6/2013 4:51:34 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... my father once told me that he had come here, and found it interesting, but then he realized that everything noteworthy had been stolen from the french.
[11/6/2013 4:52:55 PM] Kate: Borrowed, maybe. Reckon they improved on it some.
[11/6/2013 4:54:25 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Yes.  I like it here.
[11/6/2013 4:55:30 PM] Kate: Me too. Though it's a little closed in fer me.
[11/6/2013 4:56:19 PM] Felix: Ebenezer looks at the street signs.  "Down... this way, I suppose.  DId you give me your name?  I might have missed it."
[11/6/2013 4:59:07 PM] Kate: Candlemas, sir.
[11/6/2013 4:59:35 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I'm Ebenezer.  Ebenezer... well.  Just Ebenezer.
[11/6/2013 5:00:30 PM] Kate: Nice to meetcha, Mr. Ebenezer.
[11/6/2013 5:00:57 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  And you, marshal.
[11/6/2013 5:03:58 PM] Kate: All right. Where we goin'?
[11/6/2013 5:03:59 PM] Felix: ((brb.  Bathroom.))
[11/6/2013 5:18:21 PM] Felix: ((Sorry bout that.))
[11/6/2013 5:18:31 PM] Kate: ((No worries. Used my time to get Teamspeak installed and ready again.
[11/6/2013 5:18:45 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Down this street, then a left down an alley, then a right.
[11/6/2013 5:20:43 PM] Kate: All right.
[11/6/2013 5:28:11 PM] Felix: He leads you from the nicer part of town, to a poorer part of town!  You can tell he's in pain, still.  Roll!
[11/6/2013 5:29:11 PM] Kate: ((4!))
[11/6/2013 5:30:06 PM] Felix: You're guessing that he probably came down here after he got stabbed in New York.  The wound is probably still relatively new.
[11/6/2013 5:30:47 PM] Kate: ... you all right, sir?
[11/6/2013 5:31:56 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... almost as soon as I got off the boat in New York, some nutter stabbed me with a knife.
[11/6/2013 5:32:05 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ...still healing, I guess.
[11/6/2013 5:33:11 PM] Kate: Hope they got 'im.
[11/6/2013 5:34:24 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  They did.  He was an old bloke.  Like I said.  Crazy.
[11/6/2013 5:37:28 PM] Kate: Ain't a good welcome to the country, gettin' stabbed.
[11/6/2013 5:37:31 PM] Kate: Hope things been better since.
[11/6/2013 5:38:10 PM | Edited 5:38:59 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  They've been alright, yes.  I'm going out west.  I hear there are strange creatures out there.  I'm going to write a bestiary.
[11/6/2013 5:38:32 PM] Kate: ((Might wanna respell that.))
[11/6/2013 5:38:38 PM] Kate: Oh, you a writer?
[11/6/2013 5:39:35 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Not really.  I can draw, some, though.
[11/6/2013 5:39:43 PM] Kate: That's a talent.
[11/6/2013 5:42:21 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I figure if I can draw decent pictures, I won't have to write all that well.
[11/6/2013 5:43:38 PM] Kate: Don't know 'bout that. Maybe you oughtta get a partner can write.
[11/6/2013 5:44:42 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Maybe.  But I'm here looking for someone before I headed out West.  I was told that someone here might know where that person had gone.
[11/6/2013 5:45:55 PM] Kate: Oh, right.
[11/6/2013 5:46:07 PM] Kate: Well, I'll just go on with an' make sure you don't fall over or nothin'.
[11/6/2013 5:47:50 PM] Felix: You pass by a taxidermy shop!  He stops and looks in the window at the stufffed gators.
[11/6/2013 5:48:46 PM] Kate: Wouldn't wanna meet one o' them in a swimmin' hole.
[11/6/2013 5:51:21 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  did you know that alligators bite down a great deal of force, but because of the way their jaw muscles are laid out, they can't open their jaws with the same amount of force?  They can bite your hand off, but a child could hold their jaws closed.
[11/6/2013 5:51:52 PM] Kate: ... didn't know that at all. Hopin' that *don't* ever come in useful.
[11/6/2013 5:54:06 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Just don't go swimming in the swamps, and you'll probably be okay.
[11/6/2013 5:54:30 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Fascinating creatures.  I wonder what this one did to be stuffed in such an  awful manner.
[11/6/2013 5:54:49 PM] Kate: That ain't what it's supposed to look like?
[11/6/2013 5:56:26 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  No.  Its head should be much flatter.  They made it look too much like a snake's head.
[11/6/2013 5:56:47 PM] Kate: Now you ain't an alligator expert, are ya?
[11/6/2013 6:00:06 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  No, I know a lot about animals.  I've read a lot.
[11/6/2013 6:00:43 PM] Kate: Oh. Makes sense, I guess.
[11/6/2013 6:00:55 PM] Kate: I was thinkin' there weren't too many gators in England.
[11/6/2013 6:03:03 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  No.  Know a bit about taxidermy, too.
[11/6/2013 6:04:52 PM] Kate: Never had much use fer one. 'less you do tannin', too.
[11/6/2013 6:05:41 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I do.  My father hunts.  So did his father.

Sure. Got to eat, right?

Ebenezer:  .. well.  My father hunts pretty much just to take trophies.  He goes to far away, exotic lands to kill things.
[11/6/2013 8:06:51 PM] Kate: Oh. ... don't see much point t'that.
[11/6/2013 8:07:24 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Me neither.
[11/6/2013 8:07:59 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 8:09:01 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I didn't take an interest in safari or trophy hunting.  But I did in taxidermy.
[11/6/2013 8:10:45 PM] Kate: Oh, so you stuff dead things fer a job. Well, somebody's got to.
[11/6/2013 8:11:52 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I've not done it professionally.  But I learned how to.  I figured that if my father was going to kill these animals, I really couldn't stop him.  But taxidermy lets you give them a sort of extra life.  If it's well done, it can educate, as well.
[11/6/2013 8:16:40 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/6/2013 8:16:45 PM] Kate: Or be funny.
[11/6/2013 8:16:55 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Or both, maybe.
[11/6/2013 8:18:44 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 8:20:29 PM] Felix: He moves on, and stops in front of an alleyway!  "Now it's down this alley, and a left at the end."
[11/6/2013 8:20:37 PM] Kate: All right. Let's go.
[11/6/2013 8:21:00 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  You sure?
[11/6/2013 8:22:09 PM] Kate: Sure I'm sure.
[11/6/2013 8:24:07 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well.  Thanks, I appreciate it.  Even if I'm not really sure why you're doing it.
[11/6/2013 8:25:58 PM] Kate: I  like helpin' folks.
[11/6/2013 8:27:20 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  That why you became a marshal?
[11/6/2013 8:29:35 PM] Kate: That an' makin' things right.
[11/6/2013 8:32:11 PM] Felix: Ebenezer nods, and you make your way down the alleyway!  Roll a d10.
[11/6/2013 8:32:31 PM] Kate: ((4!))
[11/6/2013 8:36:29 PM] Felix: Okay!  You make your way down the alleyway.  You can tell he's nervous.
[11/6/2013 8:36:57 PM] Kate: S'all right, I got your back.
[11/6/2013 8:41:59 PM] Felix: EBenezer:  Hmm?
[11/6/2013 8:45:27 PM] Kate: I gotcher back.
[11/6/2013 8:46:36 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Oh.  I'm not really scared of danger.
[11/6/2013 8:46:45 PM] Kate: Good. Let's go.
[11/6/2013 8:46:48 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Just anxious.
[11/6/2013 8:47:38 PM] Kate: Kate nods, and waits for him to go first.
[11/6/2013 8:48:32 PM] Felix: He goes down the alleyway!  "Apparently, after a short maze of alleyways, there's a row of tiny apartments, a bit of a cheapside."
[11/6/2013 8:48:42 PM] Kate: Cheapside?
[11/6/2013 8:49:23 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Where a bunch of people pay a miniscule rent for miniscule space.
[11/6/2013 8:49:48 PM] Kate: Oh.
[11/6/2013 8:54:15 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  There's a woman there that might know someone I've been looking for.
[11/6/2013 8:55:26 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/6/2013 8:57:09 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... I don't know if she does or not.  I'm just tired of following up dead ends.
[11/6/2013 8:57:27 PM] Kate: Understandable.
[11/6/2013 9:04:48 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... so I'm glad you're here.  You seem pretty kind.
[11/6/2013 9:07:57 PM] Kate: Sometimes.
[11/6/2013 9:09:34 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  What about the other times?
[11/6/2013 9:09:46 PM] Kate: Sometimes I ain't cruel.
[11/6/2013 9:09:48 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 9:11:22 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... why are you in New Orleans, anyway?
[11/6/2013 9:13:11 PM] Kate: Helpin' somebody.
[11/6/2013 9:13:57 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  On federal government business?
[11/6/2013 9:14:02 PM] Kate: Nope.
[11/6/2013 9:19:20 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Would it be impolite for me to ask?
[11/6/2013 9:19:26 PM] Kate: Nah, but I won't tell ya.
[11/6/2013 9:24:37 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Oh.  Well, fair enough.  I won't bother asking, then.
[11/6/2013 9:24:43 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I'm looking for my mother.
[11/6/2013 9:26:13 PM] Kate: Oh, all right.
[11/6/2013 9:26:16 PM] Kate: What's she look like?
[11/6/2013 9:28:02 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Lovely.  Long black hair, apparently.  She might have some Indian blood in her, I'm told.  I've never met her.  I don't expect to meet her here, but someone who might know her.
[11/6/2013 9:31:22 PM] Kate: Oh, I see.
[11/6/2013 9:31:35 PM] Kate: Well, I'll keep an eye out.
[11/6/2013 9:31:42 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I know she's in America.  But America is a big place.
[11/6/2013 9:32:04 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  You're a marshal.  ... maybe you can tell better than me when someone is lying to me?
[11/6/2013 9:32:05 PM] Kate: Bigger'n'Europe, I think.
[11/6/2013 9:32:24 PM] Kate: I'll sure try.
[11/6/2013 9:34:19 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  It's not a strong point of mine.
[11/6/2013 9:34:46 PM] Kate: I'm sure you got other strengths.
[11/6/2013 9:39:34 PM] Kate: ((Paying more attention now. Sorry!))
[11/6/2013 9:39:40 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I suppose I do.
[11/6/2013 9:40:06 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/6/2013 9:47:18 PM] Felix: You find the row of ramshackle houses he had talked about.  You get a few stares because your very nice clothes, but no one looks too long at you.
[11/6/2013 9:48:55 PM] Kate: Kate keeps an eye out for trouble!
[11/6/2013 9:49:13 PM] Felix: Roll a d10!
[11/6/2013 9:49:36 PM] Kate: ((10!))
[11/6/2013 9:50:24 PM] Felix: ((Woot!  You do spot a couple of younger men who were eyeing you and weighing the odds.))
[11/6/2013 9:51:02 PM] Kate: Think those fellas might beat on us.
[11/6/2013 9:51:05 PM] Kate: Or try.
[11/6/2013 9:51:58 PM] Felix: EBenezer:  Do you have a weapon?
[11/6/2013 9:52:40 PM] Kate: Somethin' like that.
[11/6/2013 9:56:53 PM] Kate: Kate checks for her brooch.
[11/6/2013 9:57:42 PM] Felix: It's on her neck!
[11/6/2013 9:58:29 PM] Kate: Kate takes it off.
[11/6/2013 9:59:13 PM] Felix: It turns into a pistol!  One that looks appropriate for her dress, a smaller, pearl handled fancy thing.
[11/6/2013 10:00:40 PM] Kate: Kate gets ready for trouble!
[11/6/2013 10:02:29 PM] Felix: The two young toughs actually get intimidated off!
[11/6/2013 10:03:00 PM] Kate: Kate pockets the pistol!
[11/6/2013 10:03:19 PM] Felix: They flee down the alley.  "That was impressive."
[11/6/2013 10:05:21 PM] Kate: Some folks scare easy.
[11/6/2013 10:10:26 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Here.
[11/6/2013 10:10:47 PM] Felix: He stops in front of an old door.
[11/6/2013 10:11:02 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/6/2013 10:11:08 PM] Kate: Go ahead an' knock.
[11/6/2013 10:11:54 PM] Felix: He nods, and knocks!
[11/6/2013 10:13:26 PM] Felix: After a few minutes, an old woman answers the door.  She seems to be of Indian descent, with dark skin and eyes, and black hair in a braid.  "Yes?"
[11/6/2013 10:13:47 PM] Kate: Kate smiles her.
[11/6/2013 10:13:49 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... Mrs. Mills?
[11/6/2013 10:13:56 PM] Felix: Woman:  ...who's asking?
[11/6/2013 10:15:08 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Do you know a woman named Olivia?  She moved to Britain and woked there for awhile before returning here.
[11/6/2013 10:15:17 PM] Felix: Roll a d10!
[11/6/2013 10:16:29 PM] Kate: ((1!))
[11/6/2013 10:17:19 PM] Felix: Woman:  ...come in.
[11/6/2013 10:17:34 PM] Felix: She leads the way inside to a small, ramshackle dwelling.
[11/6/2013 10:18:14 PM] Kate: Kate follows.
[11/6/2013 10:22:12 PM] Felix: She bids you to sit on an old sofa.  "I'll prepare some tea."
[11/6/2013 10:22:53 PM] Kate: Kate sits.
[11/6/2013 10:24:36 PM] Felix: Ebenezer does as well.  "So.  How do you know Olivia?"
[11/6/2013 10:27:32 PM] Felix: Woman:  "... she was the daughter of a friend of mine.  Why do you look for her?"
[11/6/2013 10:27:44 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  .... she may be my mother.
[11/6/2013 10:27:48 PM] Felix: Roll again!
[11/6/2013 10:28:01 PM] Kate: ((1 again! YAY.))
[11/6/2013 10:31:06 PM] Felix: ((Man, she's even more Kate than usual.
[11/6/2013 10:32:33 PM] Kate: ((Yeah, the random is killin' me tonight.))
[11/6/2013 10:34:29 PM] Felix: Woman: ... you see how I live.  I make money by doing laundry.  I'll help you.  Can you help me?
[11/6/2013 10:36:42 PM] Kate: Kate stays quiet and lets Eben answer.
[11/6/2013 10:36:50 PM] Kate: Kate also keeps an eye out for anything unusual!
[11/6/2013 10:39:24 PM] Felix: ((Brb))
[11/6/2013 10:50:03 PM] Felix: Roll again!
[11/6/2013 10:51:58 PM] Kate: ((I'm switching rollers.))
[11/6/2013 10:52:56 PM] Kate: ((... not that it helped. 3.))
[11/6/2013 10:54:21 PM] Felix: ((It helped a little!  She comes over with the tea, and you notice, just for a moment, though it might be a trick of the light, that her eyes seem to go pure black.  Like, totally black.
[11/6/2013 10:55:29 PM] Kate: Kate frowns.
[11/6/2013 10:55:43 PM] Kate: Kate whispers to Eben, "Somethin' ain't right here. Might be poison in that tea."
[11/6/2013 10:57:06 PM] Felix: Woman:  so, what do you say, love?  You help me, I help you?  I have some information... but I'm sorry, it can't come free.
[11/6/2013 10:59:18 PM] Kate: Kate trances. "What kinda information you got?"
[11/6/2013 10:59:54 PM] Felix: Woman:  Who are you?  You two together?
[11/6/2013 11:01:54 PM] Kate: I'm here helpin'.
[11/6/2013 11:02:49 PM] Felix: Woman:  Well.  I know the woman you're looking for.  She came through here a couple of years ago, before moving on.
[11/6/2013 11:02:53 PM] Felix: (LIE!))
[11/6/2013 11:03:32 PM] Kate: Yeah?
[11/6/2013 11:04:10 PM] Felix: She nods.  "I'll tell you what I know, but I have to ask for some compensation."
[11/6/2013 11:05:35 PM] Kate: What d'ya want?
[11/6/2013 11:06:28 PM] Felix: Woman:  I just want some money.  You like like you have some to spare, after all.
[11/6/2013 11:06:31 PM] Felix: ((That's true!))
[11/6/2013 11:07:46 PM] Kate: We got to go, Mr. Ebenezer.
[11/6/2013 11:08:00 PM] Felix: Woman:  What?
[11/6/2013 11:08:05 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  What?
[11/6/2013 11:10:25 PM] Kate: She ain't tellin' the truth. She never saw yer ma.
[11/6/2013 11:11:10 PM] Felix: Woman:  Are you calling me a liar?
[11/6/2013 11:11:28 PM] Kate: Nope. Reckon yer just poor an' don't have a choice, ma'am.
[11/6/2013 11:11:43 PM] Kate: Didn't grow up rich m'self.
[11/6/2013 11:12:24 PM] Felix: Woman:  ... yes, well.  ... she's right.  I'm sorry.  I don't know any Olivia.
[11/6/2013 11:12:30 PM] Felix: Ebenezer looks crestfallen.
[11/6/2013 11:12:46 PM] Felix: The brooch turns from a gun, into a handful of coins!
[11/6/2013 11:12:58 PM] Kate: S'all right, Mr. Ebenezer. Now we know she didn't come this way, an' that's worth somethin', ain't it?
[11/6/2013 11:15:30 PM] Kate: Kate hands the lady the coins.
[11/6/2013 11:15:54 PM] Felix: She takes the coins.  "....thank you."
[11/6/2013 11:16:29 PM] Felix: She melts!  into black goo that drips through the floorboards of her ramshackle house.
[11/6/2013 11:16:41 PM] Felix: You start to fade out again yourself!
[11/6/2013 11:19:05 PM] Kate: Bye, Eben.
[11/6/2013 11:19:20 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ...thank you.
[11/6/2013 11:19:33 PM] Felix: then things get weird.
[11/6/2013 11:20:29 PM] Felix: You're in a weird sort of underground cavern, lit by giant, luminous mushrooms.
[11/6/2013 11:21:51 PM] Kate: .... well. Ain't that somethin'.
[11/6/2013 11:22:53 PM] Felix: You're also naked!  Or at least, your clothes are gone.
[11/6/2013 11:23:08 PM] Kate: Kate squeaks.
[11/6/2013 11:23:11 PM] Kate: Eben!
[11/6/2013 11:23:27 PM] Felix: The squeak comes out as a weird, growly noise.  It is at this point your ealize that you're a wolf.
[11/6/2013 11:24:21 PM] Kate: Eben!
[11/6/2013 11:24:43 PM] Felix: It comes out as Rwlrl.
[11/6/2013 11:25:26 PM] Felix: but he sidles up in his wolf from.  "Kate?  You look different."  His words are a mix of growls and little barks, but you understand him perfectly.
[11/6/2013 11:27:26 PM] Kate: 'cause I'm stuck as a wolf!
[11/6/2013 11:29:08 PM] Felix: It actually doesn't feel weird at all.  It's not like you have to learn how to be a quadraped, or anything like that.  And your senses are much, much better, especially smell.  It's like there's a new secondary landscape that you can perceive that's just made of smells.
[11/6/2013 11:29:30 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... this isn't a place I've ever been before.  Maybe we're nearing the end?
[11/6/2013 11:29:44 PM] Kate: ... could be.
[11/6/2013 11:29:50 PM] Kate: ... Eben, how do I scratch my nose?
[11/6/2013 11:30:34 PM] Felix: He shows you!  It's kinda cute.  You life your front leg, put your snout down, and rub your snout with the underside of your foreleg!
[11/6/2013 11:31:44 PM] Kate: Kate tries it.
[11/6/2013 11:32:04 PM] Felix: Your nose is scratched.
[11/6/2013 11:33:08 PM] Kate: ... what're we doin' here?
[11/6/2013 11:33:24 PM] Kate: Kate wanders over to Eben and nuzzles him a bit.
[11/6/2013 11:34:59 PM] Felix: You smell him!  He smells like gunpowder, bay leaves, and chocolate!
[11/6/2013 11:36:50 PM] Felix: Roll a d10!
[11/6/2013 11:36:57 PM] Kate: You smell nice.
[11/6/2013 11:37:09 PM] Kate: ((5! That should count as a 10.))
[11/6/2013 11:38:35 PM] Felix: Beyond him, you catch a whiff of something awful and acrid smelling.
[11/6/2013 11:38:54 PM] Kate: .... but what's that?
[11/6/2013 11:40:01 PM] Felix: He sniffs.  "I don't know.  It's that way."
[11/6/2013 11:41:59 PM] Kate: Kate follows him!
[11/6/2013 11:42:22 PM] Felix: he walks and it turns into a lope!  It feels really good to run this way.
[11/6/2013 11:43:58 PM] Kate: Kate follows!
[11/6/2013 11:45:51 PM] Felix: you run through the cavern, and evetually find the source of the smell, what looks like the half rotted root system of a giant black tree sprouting up above from the ceiling of the cavern.  It's dripping with the same black goo you've seen in all three challenges, the manifestation of the poison.
[11/6/2013 11:47:58 PM] Kate: Lord. How do we get rid o' that?
[11/6/2013 11:49:38 PM] Felix: ((brb.))
[11/6/2013 11:55:22 PM] Felix: The roots grow out at you!  really fast.
[11/6/2013 11:57:00 PM] Kate: Kate jumps out of the way.
[11/6/2013 11:57:35 PM] Felix: you manage.  They go right through Ebenezer!  "Hmm.  Looks like this is still your show, Kate."
[11/6/2013 11:59:02 PM] Kate: Well I don't got the shotgun no more!
[11/7/2013 12:00:23 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... well, you kind of do.  It's a pattern in your fur.  Maybe it's a part of you?
[11/7/2013 12:01:23 AM] Kate: Kate pounces forward and tries biting it.
[11/7/2013 12:02:12 AM] Felix: Roll!
[11/7/2013 12:02:29 AM] Kate: ((7!))
[11/7/2013 12:06:54 AM] Felix: You grab one of the roots as it reaches out toward you, biting down on it with your mighty jaws.  It tastes awful.  You give it a yank, and you seem a lot stronger than you should be, as you feel the whole tree wrench down before you're forced to let it go.
[11/7/2013 12:07:49 AM] Kate: Kate definitely spits it out as soon as she can, though.
[11/7/2013 12:07:52 AM] Kate: Oh lord, it's horrible!
[11/7/2013 12:08:32 AM] Felix: Ebenezer:  You pulled it, though!  Maybe keep pulling at it, get the tree to collapse down here?
[11/7/2013 12:09:30 AM] Kate: Kate tries it again!
[11/7/2013 12:09:43 AM] Felix: Roll!
[11/7/2013 12:10:23 AM] Kate: ((1! Naturally. >.<))
[11/7/2013 12:11:32 AM] Felix: You miss that time!  And get clipped in the side by one of the sharp edged roots.  It *really* hurts.  YOu think it's what the poison feels like for Eben.
[11/7/2013 12:12:07 AM] Kate: Kate yelps, and goes at it again!
[11/7/2013 12:13:20 AM] Felix: Roll!
[11/7/2013 12:13:53 AM] Kate: ((8!))
[11/7/2013 12:14:35 AM] Felix: You grab another root and give it a MIGHTY YANK, pulling even more of the rotted tree down... one more good yank should bring it crashing down.
[11/7/2013 12:15:23 AM] Kate: Kate growls and has a third go at it! 7!
[11/7/2013 12:18:38 AM] Felix: you grab it and with a third mighty yank, the tree comes crashing down to the cavern floor.  It's a gross looking, diseased black tree.  pure moonlight comes down from the new hole made in the cavern ceiling.  The moonlight burns away the decaying bark of the tree, revealing a gross black heart at its center!
[11/7/2013 12:19:55 AM] Kate: Kate paws at it.
[11/7/2013 12:21:24 AM] Felix: It's gross, but still beating.
[11/7/2013 12:22:04 AM] Kate: Kate bites it and tears it apart!
[11/7/2013 12:29:02 AM] Felix: It tastes AWFUL.  But, that seems to do it, as everything around you starts to fade away.

[11/7/2013 6:57:03 PM] Felix: Okay.  So, I belive that Kate had just finished the killing the poison, finally.
[11/7/2013 6:58:22 PM] Kate: Kate had!
[11/7/2013 7:00:03 PM] Felix: So!  The first thing she notices, is that she's super-hungry.  Second, that she feels sunlight on her face.
[11/7/2013 7:00:38 PM] Kate: Kate sits up and checks Eben.
[11/7/2013 7:01:22 PM] Felix: He seems to be sleeping!  The Old Man in there.  "Now he's just resting and healing.  It's done."
[11/7/2013 7:01:51 PM] Kate: ... what day is it?
[11/7/2013 7:03:10 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Wednesday, I think?  It's been six hours.
[11/7/2013 7:03:17 PM] Kate: Oh, that's it.
[11/7/2013 7:03:59 PM] Felix: Old Man:  I told you you'd wake up hungry.
[11/7/2013 7:04:13 PM] Kate: I need some food. ... turned into a wolf in my dream.
[11/7/2013 7:05:09 PM] Felix: Old Man:  C'mon, we'll go get breakfast.
[11/7/2013 7:05:17 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Did you?  Huh.  What did you think?
[11/7/2013 7:05:43 PM] Kate: Had to eat somethin' awful.
[11/7/2013 7:06:30 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Oh.  Well, that'll happen.
[11/7/2013 7:06:52 PM] Kate: It will?
[11/7/2013 7:07:39 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Well, sure, poison is generally unpleasant.  Don't worry, the memories of it all will fade like a dream within a couple of days.  You'll remember the important stuff, but the specifics... like the taste of awful poison, will fade.
[11/7/2013 7:08:46 PM] Kate: Oh, good.
[11/7/2013 7:11:38 PM] Felix: Old Man:  We'll let him sleep and get some food.
[11/7/2013 7:13:14 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/7/2013 7:13:22 PM] Kate: An' he's better now?
[11/7/2013 7:13:45 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Yes.  He's healing as he should now.
[11/7/2013 7:17:34 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/7/2013 7:18:02 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Hungry, I assume?  I know I am.
[11/7/2013 7:18:16 PM] Kate: Crazy hungry.
[11/7/2013 7:21:59 PM] Felix: He takes you back through the caverns and into the camp itself, where Mary brings you food!  Some bread and some meat.
[11/7/2013 7:22:12 PM] Kate: I sure do 'preciate the way you been goin' outta yer way to feed me like this.
[11/7/2013 7:25:41 PM] Felix: Mary:  Believe it or not, we don't always eat meat.  Sometimes we just want a potato.  So it's not terribly far out of the way.
[11/7/2013 7:27:59 PM] Kate: Still.
[11/7/2013 7:28:07 PM] Kate: Don't think I could survive on jus' meat.
[11/7/2013 7:30:21 PM] Felix: Mary:  Some coffee?
[11/7/2013 7:30:44 PM | Edited 7:30:50 PM] Kate: Yes, *please.*
[11/7/2013 7:31:05 PM] Felix: She goes off to get you the blessed black elixir.
[11/7/2013 7:32:56 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/7/2013 7:35:21 PM] Felix: Old Man:  so, you were asking about the Aerie earlier.
[11/7/2013 7:36:41 PM] Kate: Yeah. What d'ya know 'bout it?
[11/7/2013 7:38:54 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Well, the ravens used to live there, before they were driven out by the Fae, who wanted the place to raise some dragons.  I dn't know that the Fae are still there.  You'll want to ask Wendell.
[11/7/2013 7:39:29 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/7/2013 7:39:47 PM] Felix: He looks around!  "I don't see him, so he's probably off flying somewhere."
[11/7/2013 7:43:00 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/7/2013 7:47:35 PM] Felix: ((brb.  Stomach is bothering me.))
[11/7/2013 7:48:58 PM] Kate: ((erf.))
[11/7/2013 7:54:45 PM] Felix: ((K, bach.))
[11/7/2013 7:55:09 PM] Felix: Pretty soon, the taste of rotten gross gooey tree heart is far from your mind!
[11/7/2013 7:57:01 PM] Kate: Kate eats a TON.
[11/7/2013 7:58:41 PM] Felix: Eventually a handsome, dark skinned man with a large, beaklike nose comes along.
[11/7/2013 7:58:48 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Ah, here's Wendell now.
[11/7/2013 7:58:56 PM] Felix: He waves him over, and Wendell comes over.
[11/7/2013 7:59:08 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Kate here wants to know about the Aerie.
[11/7/2013 8:00:22 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/7/2013 8:00:32 PM] Kate: Got to roust out a crook hidin' there.
[11/7/2013 8:03:08 PM] Felix: Wendell:  Hmm.  Word was that the dragons had cleared out, actually, but no one cared enough to check it out.  We left it behind a couple hundred years ago, after all.
[11/7/2013 8:07:06 PM] Kate: Didn't know it'd been that long.
[11/7/2013 8:09:22 PM] Felix: Wendell:  Yeah.   We have long memories, but manage not to hold grudges.  But if you'd like, I'll see if we can get some scouts over in that direction to get the lay of the land.  Probably hear back by tomorrow.
[11/7/2013 8:10:28 PM] Kate: ... they got to be careful. Winnow's dangerous, an'he's a warlock too.
[11/7/2013 8:11:00 PM] Felix: Wendell:  No worries.  We're not entirely defenseless, and we don't need to get terribly close anyway.
[11/7/2013 8:15:51 PM] Felix: Wendell:  Pretty much what we do is watch and scout.
[11/7/2013 8:16:16 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/7/2013 8:19:51 PM] Felix: Wendell:  Anyway.  The Aerie is a bunch of mazelike canyons that lead up to a wide, shielded bluff.  Your Warlock picked a good spot to hole up in...a dozen or so folks can hold the area pretty easily.
[11/7/2013 8:22:23 PM] Kate: Figures.
[11/7/2013 8:26:48 PM] Felix: Wendell:  But we got people who know the Aerie.  How many people does he have?
[11/7/2013 8:27:00 PM] Kate: No idea.
[11/7/2013 8:30:28 PM] Felix: Wendell:  Hmm.  Well.  I'll make sure the area is scouted out, at least.
[11/7/2013 8:30:33 PM] Kate: ((how many did he have last time I knew?))
[11/7/2013 8:30:50 PM] Felix: ((Around seven or so, accordign to the folks at the ranch.))
[11/7/2013 8:32:28 PM] Kate: Seven people, I think. Plus Winnow, plus whatever magics he's got, plus whatever he had there waitin'.
[11/7/2013 8:40:01 PM] Felix: Wendell nods.
[11/7/2013 8:40:29 PM] Felix: Old Man:  So, you'll be needing folks to ride out with you, then.
[11/7/2013 8:41:01 PM] Kate: If I can get 'em.
[11/7/2013 8:41:46 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Oh, you'll get em.  Quite a few of our boys have been ancy for a fight.
[11/7/2013 8:43:16 PM] Kate: With who?
[11/7/2013 8:44:07 PM] Felix: Old Man:  With anyone.  We're warriors, Kate.
[11/7/2013 8:44:22 PM] Kate: Oh. Well, Eben ain't. Not really.
[11/7/2013 8:48:40 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Werewolves are, in general.  Some say it's what we were made for.
[11/7/2013 8:49:11 PM] Kate: You're folks, though. Don't have to do what other folks want.
[11/7/2013 8:49:52 PM] Felix: Old Man:  Nothing wrong with it, either.  Obviously not all of us are warriors.  We still need teachers and healers and even taxidermists.
[11/7/2013 8:52:37 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/7/2013 8:52:40 PM] Kate: Folks do.
[11/7/2013 8:59:11 PM] Felix: Ebenezer comes out, rubbing his eyes!
[11/7/2013 9:02:26 PM] Kate: Kate jumps on him. He may or may not be able to hold her up.
[11/7/2013 9:04:04 PM] Felix: he's kind of not!  His knees buckle.
[11/7/2013 9:05:52 PM] Kate: Kate stands up, but doesn't let go, and kisses him. "You feel all right? Do ya?"
[11/7/2013 9:06:43 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Kind of starving.
[11/7/2013 9:07:08 PM] Kate: Can you change? Can ya?
[11/7/2013 9:09:59 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I could, but I won't right now.
[11/7/2013 9:10:52 PM] Kate: How come?
[11/7/2013 9:10:57 PM] Kate: You got to test it out, Eben.
[11/7/2013 9:11:16 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Because I haven't learned how to keep my clothes, yet.
[11/7/2013 9:11:52 PM] Kate: ... oh, right.
[11/7/2013 9:11:59 PM] Kate: ... tent, then?
[11/7/2013 9:12:10 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Once I've eaten, sure.
[11/7/2013 9:14:54 PM] Kate: Don't you wanna know if it *works*?
[11/7/2013 9:15:31 PM] Felix: Ebenezer smiles.  "I know it works.  I can feel it."
[11/7/2013 9:16:28 PM] Kate: Oh. Well, good. What d'you want to eat?
[11/7/2013 9:17:38 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  everything.
[11/7/2013 9:18:01 PM] Kate: Well have a seat, I'll bring ya some.
[11/7/2013 9:18:09 PM] Kate: Kate scampers off to fetch him some food.
[11/7/2013 9:18:39 PM] Felix: He smiles and sits down!
[11/7/2013 9:19:35 PM] Kate: Kate grabs a plate or platter and loads it up with big helpings of things he likes that are good for werewolves! And also one potato.
[11/7/2013 9:23:27 PM] Kate: Kate brings it over to him and watches!
[11/7/2013 9:37:53 PM] Felix: He devours it!  (Sorry, mom dropped some stuff off to me.))
[11/7/2013 9:38:39 PM] Kate: ((Meep. Glad you're okay. :) ))
[11/7/2013 9:38:51 PM] Felix: But yes, he devours it.
[11/7/2013 9:39:47 PM] Kate: Kate waits until he's finished, antsy. "... *now* can we see?"
[11/7/2013 9:42:18 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  But you've seen me change before.
[11/7/2013 9:43:52 PM] Kate: I *know*, but I wanna make sure it *works.*
[11/7/2013 9:46:05 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  All right.
[11/7/2013 9:46:11 PM] Felix: You go to the tent!
[11/7/2013 9:47:07 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  It's not like I couldn't change before.  I could.  It would just kill me.
[11/7/2013 9:47:53 PM] Kate: I *know*.
[11/7/2013 9:47:57 PM] Kate: An' this *won't.*
[11/7/2013 9:50:12 PM] Felix: He pulls off his shirt!  His scar is totally gone.
[11/7/2013 9:51:31 PM] Kate: Kate beams.
[11/7/2013 9:52:28 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ...there's no pain, either.
[11/7/2013 9:53:11 PM] Kate: Kate hugs him.
[11/7/2013 9:53:22 PM] Felix: he hugs her.  "Thank you."
[11/7/2013 9:55:49 PM] Kate: Yer my husband.
[11/7/2013 9:56:07 PM] Kate: Now if you don't Change, I'm gonna *bitecha.*
[11/7/2013 9:58:37 PM] Felix: He gets his pants off.  "All right, all right."
[11/7/2013 9:59:37 PM] Kate: Kate still can't quite *look.*
[11/7/2013 9:59:59 PM] Felix: Well, for what it's worth, he's blushing something awful.
[11/7/2013 10:01:10 PM] Felix: All right.
[11/7/2013 10:01:12 PM] Felix: he shifts!
[11/7/2013 10:02:42 PM] Kate: Kate hugs him!
[11/7/2013 10:03:10 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Wf.
[11/7/2013 10:03:49 PM] Kate: You *are* all right.
[11/7/2013 10:04:14 PM] Kate: Really all right.
[11/7/2013 10:08:19 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Wf!
[11/7/2013 10:08:29 PM] Kate: Kate snuggles him tightly.
[11/7/2013 10:12:48 PM] Felix: He shifts back!  And forth.  And back.  And forth.
[11/7/2013 10:13:01 PM] Kate: Kate kisses him at some point when his mouth is human.
[11/7/2013 10:13:04 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Been awhile since I've been able to do that without worrying.
[11/7/2013 10:14:58 PM] Kate: Now, I *told* you it was silly not to care 'bout me 'cause of the poison.
[11/7/2013 10:16:34 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Not that I could have stopped if I wanted to.
[11/7/2013 10:17:22 PM] Kate: Kate snuggles him.
[11/7/2013 10:22:24 PM] Kate: That's my wolfman.
[11/7/2013 10:24:01 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I prefer manwolf.
[11/7/2013 10:28:31 PM] Kate: Either way.
[11/7/2013 10:28:35 PM] Kate: Kate kisses him good and hard.
[11/7/2013 10:35:17 PM] Felix: he kisses her back!  Also good and hard.
[11/7/2013 10:37:45 PM] Kate: Kate definitely lets him do more than that. Though she won't start it. Stupid gender roles.
[11/7/2013 10:43:51 PM] Felix: Well, he does!  With vim.

[11/11/2013 8:06:42 PM] Felix: So Kate and Ebenezer had undertaken some celebratory sexytimes after his successful curing of poison.
[11/11/2013 8:07:17 PM] Kate: Kate snuggles him!
[11/11/2013 8:12:46 PM] Kate: Eben?
[11/11/2013 8:12:56 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Yeah?
[11/11/2013 8:14:41 PM] Kate: I'm so glad yer all right.
[11/11/2013 8:15:20 PM] Felix: ebenezer:  Yeah, me too.
[11/11/2013 8:16:34 PM] Kate: Love you.
[11/11/2013 8:16:45 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I love you, too.
[11/11/2013 8:18:28 PM] Kate: Kate snuggles him.
[11/11/2013 8:19:06 PM] Felix: he holds her closely.
[11/11/2013 8:19:17 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Hmm.  What now?
[11/11/2013 8:22:15 PM] Kate: Don't know. Reckon we should go t'sleep. I won't object if you wanna go out an' run, though.
[11/11/2013 8:26:01 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I mean, more in a general way.  I've always been reluctant to plan too far into the future.
[11/11/2013 8:26:31 PM] Kate: Oh! Well, I figured on settlin' in Wilde with you.
[11/11/2013 8:28:38 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I just... suddenly have a future.
[11/11/2013 8:28:54 PM] Kate: Well, that's good, ain't it?
[11/11/2013 8:31:24 PM] Felix: Ebenezer nods.  "Very good.  Just... different, suddenly."
[11/11/2013 8:32:19 PM] Kate: Well, what do *you* wanna do?
[11/11/2013 8:42:31 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I... don't know.  I'm just enjoying asking the question, right now.
[11/11/2013 8:43:47 PM] Kate: How many kids you think we'll get?
[11/11/2013 8:46:01 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I don't know.  Given the two of us... who can tell?  I just hope you don't have to birth a litter.
[11/11/2013 8:51:25 PM] Kate: Might kill me if I do. ... maybe there's magic fer that.
[11/11/2013 8:52:16 PM] Kate: (( Oh *dear.* http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com/2013/11/08/you-gotta-go/  ))
[11/11/2013 8:57:56 PM] Kate: Makin' it safer, I mean.
[11/11/2013 8:58:32 PM] Felix: ((Hee!))
[11/11/2013 8:58:37 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I would think so.
[11/11/2013 8:59:30 PM] Kate: I'm pretty tough. An' I don't get sick much.
[11/11/2013 9:00:31 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  oh, I have no doubt that you would be ready for any challenges.
[11/11/2013 9:00:51 PM] Kate: We-ell. Not too sure 'bout *ready*.
[11/11/2013 9:01:15 PM] Felix: Ebeenzer:  ...able to deal with any challenges, then.
[11/11/2013 9:02:11 PM] Kate: Reckon three or four children can change shape might be full o' surprises.
[11/11/2013 9:04:03 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  True.
[11/11/2013 9:06:43 PM] Kate: ... don't know if there'll be any. Seems funny to think there might be a bunch of 'em.
[11/11/2013 9:16:13 PM] Felix: EBenezer:  ... I guess we'll figure it out as we go, won't we?
[11/11/2013 9:18:17 PM] Kate: It'll be an adventure.
[11/11/2013 9:18:52 PM] Kate: ... fer what it's worth I'd want one of 'em at a time, though.
[11/11/2013 9:21:12 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  As would I.
[11/11/2013 9:25:50 PM] Kate: ((Got a sammich! Sorry. >.<))
[11/11/2013 9:26:07 PM] Kate: But I think I do want 'em. ... might have to build a house sometime?
[11/11/2013 9:33:27 PM] Felix: ((Sokay!  I put my new sheets on the bed.  Flannel.))
[11/11/2013 9:33:54 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  My little flat over the shop wouldn't be big enough, I think.
[11/11/2013 9:34:45 PM] Kate: ((ooh. I gotta do that.))
[11/11/2013 9:34:53 PM] Kate: Yeah. Not fer more than three of us.
[11/11/2013 9:44:18 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well.  From what I understand, it's not much to get some land around Wilde.
[11/11/2013 9:46:30 PM] Kate: An' I reckon with yer money an' mine, we can do it.
[11/11/2013 9:48:06 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  And we can build a house.  Maybe we should buy some land as soon as we get back to Wilde.  If we start on it now...
[11/11/2013 9:48:24 PM] Kate: Might get done.
[11/11/2013 9:52:18 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  And we won't have to scramble at the last minute or gone on a quest for lost gold or anything.
[11/11/2013 9:52:31 PM] Kate: ... it's got to have a window seat. An' extra room for a bed *and* a big pile o' furs.
[11/11/2013 9:59:40 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  A big library.
[11/11/2013 10:01:31 PM] Kate: *Huge.*
[11/11/2013 10:05:22 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Right.  Enough for all our books, and room to add more.
[11/11/2013 10:07:01 PM] Kate: Kate beams.
[11/11/2013 10:11:17 PM] Kate: Our books.
[11/11/2013 10:11:54 PM] Kate: Kate nuzzles, and falls asleep happily.
[11/11/2013 10:12:21 PM] Felix: you have some very happy dreams!
[11/11/2013 10:14:41 PM] Kate: Kate does! (heart)
[11/11/2013 10:23:32 PM] Felix: You wake up and it's evening!  This weird spiritiual ritual has thrown off your whole schedule!
[11/11/2013 10:23:40 PM] Kate: Kate blinks, and looks for Eben.
[11/11/2013 10:23:48 PM] Felix: He's there, snoring!
[11/11/2013 10:24:03 PM] Kate: Kate smiles, and gets dressed.
[11/11/2013 10:26:15 PM] Felix: He doesn't stir at all.
[11/11/2013 10:27:52 PM] Kate: Kate slips out.
[11/11/2013 10:34:13 PM] Kate: Kate looks for food!
[11/11/2013 10:34:15 PM] Kate: Kate and coffee.
[11/11/2013 10:37:41 PM] Felix: ((Sorry, my turn to make a sammich.))  You spot Mary, who is happy to help you out with some food and coffee.  It's about five in the evening?
[11/11/2013 10:39:14 PM] Kate: Kate thanks her gratefully, and brings the food to her husband.
[11/11/2013 10:40:04 PM] Felix: He's still sleeping!
[11/11/2013 10:40:09 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Mmrf.
[11/11/2013 10:40:22 PM] Kate: Kate shakes him gently.
[11/11/2013 10:40:44 PM] Felix: ebenezer:  ... is that food?
[11/11/2013 10:41:44 PM] Kate: Yeah. An' now I don't feel so bad 'bout wakin' you up.
[11/11/2013 10:43:50 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  I don't know why I'm so tired.  I pretty much slept through the ritual.
[11/11/2013 10:45:50 PM] Kate: I think you were there somehow, right?
[11/11/2013 10:46:32 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well, kind of.
[11/11/2013 10:48:02 PM] Kate: Yeah. Plus your mind was makin' all the scenery an' all, I'm sure.
[11/11/2013 10:48:07 PM] Kate: Kate hands him the coffee, and a plate.
[11/11/2013 10:48:36 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well.  I suppose that's kind of tiring.
[11/11/2013 10:48:46 PM] Felix: Ebenezer sits up and accepts the food!
[11/11/2013 10:51:18 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Thank you.
[11/11/2013 10:51:39 PM] Kate: Kate smiles.
[11/11/2013 10:51:52 PM] Kate: Reckon a wife should feed 'er husband.
[11/11/2013 10:52:57 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  That's traditional, of course.
[11/11/2013 10:55:33 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  i think there's a lot to be said about non-traditional, though.
[11/11/2013 10:56:15 PM] Kate: Think we're gonna be more non.
[11/11/2013 10:56:27 PM] Kate: What with me bein' a half-fae marshal an' you bein' a werewolf an' all.
[11/11/2013 10:56:33 PM] Kate: An' me workin'.
[11/11/2013 11:07:58 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  True.  I think that's okay.  Especially in Wilde.
[11/11/2013 11:08:20 PM] Felix: ((I got Wennie a new black cave of blackness that she does not trust.))
[11/11/2013 11:10:22 PM] Kate: ((She knows black is her color and she's evil, so logically...))
[11/11/2013 11:10:28 PM] Kate: Sure hope so.
[11/11/2013 11:10:31 PM] Kate: .... I do like that town.
[11/11/2013 11:10:40 PM] Kate: Wonder if folks'll be different if they know.
[11/11/2013 11:11:13 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  If they know what?
[11/11/2013 11:13:52 PM] Kate: Well, that I'm part-fae, I guess. An' that you're a werewolf.
[11/11/2013 11:13:59 PM] Kate: Most folks in Wilde're all right, but...
[11/11/2013 11:14:39 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  If they haev a problem with it, they have a werewolf taxidermist and a half-fae marshal to deal with.
[11/11/2013 11:14:58 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  You can't please everyone.
[11/11/2013 11:16:55 PM] Kate: Kate grins.
[11/11/2013 11:16:58 PM] Kate: Sure, that's true.
[11/11/2013 11:19:35 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well, there you go.
[11/11/2013 11:25:34 PM] Kate: Kate leans over and kisses him.
[11/11/2013 11:25:45 PM] Felix: He kisses you back!
[11/11/2013 11:28:40 PM] Kate: Well. What d'you wanna do today? Learn the secret o' pants?
[11/11/2013 11:29:06 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  ... that would be most convenient, wouldn't it?
[11/11/2013 11:32:18 PM] Kate: Sure would.
[11/11/2013 11:32:22 PM] Kate: Kate grins.
[11/11/2013 11:33:58 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  The Old Man said it was a pretty simple trick.  Werewolves have their own magic, apparently.
[11/11/2013 11:34:39 PM] Kate: Magic pants?
[11/11/2013 11:35:13 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Well, you can apparently use magic to mark clothing so that it changes with you.
[11/11/2013 11:39:45 PM] Kate: Oh, that's how it works?
[11/11/2013 11:40:06 PM] Kate: ... never did buy weddin' rings. Reckon that ain't a thing that can go with.
[11/11/2013 11:40:30 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  If I mark it, it can, apparently.
[11/11/2013 11:41:13 PM] Kate: Well how d'you go about markin' it?
[11/11/2013 11:43:17 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  You paint a symbol on it.  I was worried it was... literally 'marking' it, but it's not.
[11/11/2013 11:43:22 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Same idea, though.
[11/11/2013 11:44:35 PM] Kate: Kate snrks.
[11/11/2013 11:44:41 PM] Kate: Yeah, reckon that might be undignified some.
[11/11/2013 11:49:30 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  Basically, anything you mark is 'yours' and stays with you.  It can't do terribly complex things, of course... like guns and the like.
[11/11/2013 11:51:04 PM] Kate: Kate nods.
[11/11/2013 11:54:16 PM] Felix: Ebenezer:  And I can't do it for many clothes, either.
[11/11/2013 11:56:00 PM] Kate: Well I ain't askin' you to keep my cuffs, Eben.
[11/11/2013 11:56:32 PM] Felix: Ebenezer smiles.  "Just means I have to pick a set of clothes I'd like to keep charmed, is all."
[11/11/2013 11:59:47 PM] Kate: Pants an' boots fer sure, an' a good pair o' warm socks.
[12:02:16 AM] Kate: Shirt if you got room for it.
[12:02:20 AM] Kate: Boots is more important.
[12:03:34 AM] Felix: He nods.  "i figure I can also carry around a satchel with a spare shirt if I need it."
[12:04:55 AM] Kate: Kate nods.
[12:05:13 AM] Kate: ... 'sides, doubt anybody'd object to seein' yer chest.
[12:05:31 AM] Kate: Kate of course does not actually look at it herself! At least not in any obvious way.
